John The " 3" designation assigned to Li on the periodic table of the elements represents its atomic weight (protons + neutrons) not its relative abundance on earth or in the universe. By the way John, mooter, FMK et al...Why do you guys even waste your time posting on the Yahoo thread? Just post here and leave the assylum to the..................well you know what I mean. Its not worth it over there any more.

Thank you John. Those pieces answered most everything. I had forgotten that Lithium was so low on the atomic scale. It acts almost exactly like metallic sodium. I noticed they never mentioned that it is or was used as an anti-depressant. It's hard to overlook the possible investment play that could arise here. Apparently Cyprus Foote is not publicly traded if one follows the further links at the end. But I still wonder how great rising demand could affect production costs - probably not an answerable question at this point. Thanks again for your input. Pallisard
