Accounting regs (FASB?) for software companies changed within the last year or so. The rule used to be 12 months but changed to 90 days. I believe this change took place in early 1997. I know this because my company changed our comp plan to withhold (defer) our commissions on any sales with terms greater than 45 days. Now that's conservative!
