Hi Pierre: I've never got into playing index options or futures,
that kind of leverage is a bit to rich and fast for me.
I keep it simple and have played options on certain issues, but
have even cut that way back.
Option playing it seems to me is a specialists game, it takes
a lot of concentration and focus on the area your playing.
Sometimes I'm tempted on that OEX but so far I've not got my
feet wet. The one I would likely play if I got started would
be the SOXX, the index it's played against is not weighted,
and with only 16 stocks to track I think I could feed on
that one, by running a weighted index , and catching the
divergence. ie the real one goes high but the weighted on
is way down, you short, the real one goes low, but the
weighted one goes high you go long.
This works on the DOW as it's not market cap weighted,
but price weighted..but heck the SOXX is not weighted
at all..
