Actually, using the phases of the moon sounds more reasonable to me than most of the TA I've heard. The lunar cycle has remarkable effects on many terrestrial organisms. That human herding behaviors like financial panics might be very slightly correlated to something that affects half the planet's menstrual cycles surprises me much less than the idea that a "double bottom" should presage a stock price rise.

What's the moon, waxing? Is a full moon bullish or bearish? Oh my..

I admit to an admiration for the elegant assumptions that underlie MPT. But don't get me started on CAPM - yuck. I'm perpetually disappointed that CAPM is only mostly hooey.

On stocks: I'm tempted by CSE. How much of the bad news isn't in the stock yet? Should I hold out for even cheaper prices?
