Re the effect of the NYSE listing on SAP stock prices, does anyone have an idea of the relative P/E values of stocks in Germany as compared to the U.S. ?

I'm in Canada and I've noticed that when a hot Canadian company gets a listing in the U.S., the P/E may increase, because U.S. investors are more willing to pay higher prices for a growth stock.

This may be related to national cultures - Canadians are more conservative than Americans, and I would guess that Germans are also more conservative than Americans. Also, there is a lot more investment capital available in the U.S. than in other countries.

IMHO the NYSE listing will be a positive factor.

Ibexx and ALL,
I don't see this posted:
Watch CNBC on Monday at 9:05 a.m. ET for an interview with SAP Chairman Henning Kagerman.

I think that it is time that I join this party. Watch the stock jump up 5 when I plunk down my money on Monday <vbg>
