For all lengthy consolidations, such the coms', everything looks hopeless, and we know it would end and breakout would happen, unless the biz is not viable any more. In the case of coms, the consolidation has no sign of ending yet for a fundamentally good reason. I don't think the institutions will tolerate such poor performance for too long, given that so many of them have upgraded it. Now coms at 8-9B cap, it is really cheap, and when news erupts, many would be busy covering their A's, bull or bear, and it would really be an fun scene to watch. Playing both ways has a down side, you are constantly torn apart, and if you don't time it well and aren't decisive enough, you can get slaughtered either ways.
