I received some junk mail today from a patch panel manufacturer who was advertising some T1 jacks made of the 8-pin (RJ-45) modular jack variety. The come on read:

"We now have INTERNET Termination Grade Jack Panels, for your customers Internet Service Termination and WWW needs!"

Internet In A Mall already tried the route of selling service through malls... blew a wad of cash doing it (of course their management was a horror story according to former employees).

Skeptical that the support requirements for clientele of this sort and churn will pay off in the long run...
