Saw, "Saving Private Ryan" last night. If you don't like blood and guts{literally) don't go see it.

It is a very powerful depiction of the realities of war, there was certainly no effort made to pretty it up. There were no heroes, not like the old war movies, just ordinary people who displayed extraordinary courage under horrible circumstances. People who did courageous things, but when they died, they all cried for their mommas.

Tom Hanks played his role with great sensitivity, I think he and the movie is headed to the Oscars for this one.

A movie that evokes many emotions that linger long after you leave the theatre.

Hey X-
I saw Casablanca for the first time this weekend. Damn fine movie, I might add...
But I just wanted some commentary on the infamous "Here's to looking at you, kid" line. I was shocked when I heard it, to me the inflections were SOOOO off, it seemed like Bogie missed the entire point of the line. Apparently, that doesn't matter, for I guess the film is all the more unforgettable because of that line....

Any thoughts?
