Bindusagar, I agree with your sentiments and very much appreciate your contributions to making the ASND thread one of the best on SI.

Until today, I've stuck pretty much solely to ASND's fundamentals and analyzing its technology, competitors, market position and strategic considerations (e.g., LU purchase). But, you have to admit that today was an exceptional selling panic. I have no apologies for doing lots of hard work and research, reading a newspaper article, putting it together with all other available info, and realizing that I had to nimbly turn on a dime because the short-term perception (due to many of the things you criticize) was going to be quite negative. As you realize, daytraders do take risk by providing liquidity to those wanting to buy and sell.

I'm very glad that I posted the SJ Mercury article on the thread last night for everyone to reach their own conclusions based on their own research. I'll have more comments later on interesting things which arose out of today's events.

Stratus is the top supplier of

Stratus is the top supplier of computers used by phone carriers to
control switches that handle the massive volume of calls over their
networks. An estimated 7 out of every 10 calls placed in the United
States travel over Stratus-controlled switches.

For the marriage of IP and voice to occur, ASND needs STRATUS!

I bought ASND today at the bottom of the bounce. I work network
for Pacific Bell. ASND is in the right place at the right time.
Excellent move! Why the analysts can't see it I can't figure other
than the fact that they simply don't know the direction of
telecommunications. Believe me, the people who work in the
industry know what is coming down the pike. Without this
acquisition, ASND would be left behind companies like Cisco and
Lucent. Gotta keep up. We also need to increase sales channels.
Stratus will help tremendously in that regard.

The people who sold me their shares today were fools. If you are
going to invest in the industry, at least know what is happening.

I was watching CNBC today when they said that they just could
not see what ASND wanted with a "computer company." DAMN
stupid comment that probably spooked a lot of investors. They said
computer company as if it were Compaq or Gateway. Talk about
misleading investors. I wonder if any who sold did so because of
that dumb comment. If so, they should sue CNBC.
