That is what I was figuring would happen today, except that it gapped up. Good size blocks near the end of the day after it went to 110 caused the price to go up. I think it is coming down though. I really liked the way it ricocheted off 115 earlier.

T< are somewhat insulated from the rest of the markets intraday moves because of the large number of retail owners (small investors).>
Close but not so. Amzn is in the hands of about 6 institutions. The small investor is a 'nit'. The dilemma that the controllers will have is, how long will America give Amzn to produce a profit? Only a month ago it appeared that they would wait until 2001.With the Asian crisis coming on strongly, it might be by their next loss, announcement.

I agree - I have the same "read" on the players and the small investors and agree on the likely move early on Monday. If we get a steep decline early next week that could bring in some bottom fishing. The underlying economy is still healthy but earnings have significantly dropped while the blue chips and darling stocks remain extremely over valued. I hope I'm wrong, but there is a small chance for a major market correction that could be spooked by the Clinton thing coming to a head (a word Bill is intimately familiar with)and triggering accumulated Asian and earnings fears. Consumer confidence remains very strong and jobs and wages are very strong which should keep the retail, housing, autos, travel etc. huming along . . . but.
