I am and always will be Muthavugah on yahoo if you want my views. My take on Andrea right now is simple, 3 straight earnings disappointments. Sure the insider selling didn't help. You can point to inventories, receivables and try to come up w/ some magic plan that pointed to brilliance on the short side, but bottom line is that demand just isn't out their yet, and Andrea is paying the price, esp. from IBM which presumably overestimated demand and have inventory problems to work out w/ headsets. What I see now is capitulation and panick and probably an overreaction to the downside. Phbolton played this stock magically on the short side, as you did on the long side. I still think 3 years out this will all be irrelevant, because speech recognition is not ready for prime time, and is still a consumer toy, but the upgrade cycle in this biz is in months, not years like other apps., also w/ auto PC and HDTV coming online, the need for voice interface on large scales is pretty close. I'm looking to average down here, as I'm about at my average cost basis right here. Look for insiders to start buying here (its about time!) based on Pilch's comments on the Q2 conf. call Tuesday. Certainly the next time euphoria hits this stock, I will have less rose colored glasses on.
I've been building up cash this year and I may not load up all on Andrea, as I see great value in PSFT, XLNX, ALTR, LHSPF, CMVT, and UTEK at these levels, somewhat larger stocks, since I have this bad 'Russell 2000' taste in my mouth ;)
