Ratan :

I appreciate your views. Reasonable postings deserve reasonable responses, and your posting is certainly a reasonable one. It's not that I don't disagree with you at all but at least you made a good case for what you stated.

As for who would be the loser in all this -- India, or the US or some other nation, I have already stated that while India has the capability to disrupt the scene, it has no clout to control the events that follow -- somewhat akin to an arsonist who is capable of lighting a fire but has no clue on what to do with the results.

And it is not just my opinion. Just see for yourself. The US is coolly going about doing what it wants to do, while we see India scrambling about and thrashing about wildly. Some of the statements made by some bigwigs in India clearly indicate that their senses have taken leave of them -- like some official making the "threat" that it is possible that Indian professionals might not come to US to solve the Y2K problem here in the US! I don't think anybody with an iota of sense believes that bloke. So as far as winners and losers are concerned, the US definitely has the upper hand and unless India learns the right lessons from this, it is going to compound the mistakes it has already committed.

Regards,

Dipy.

On Principles, Greed, Sanctions and faltering fools.

'morning Ratan,

You know the 'stroy' always begins with 'But you know it is the principle of the thing' just before 'they' strike the pose of purveyors of morality but suddenly 'they' falter and mysteriously greed takes precedence over the damn principles which 'they' devoutly professed not too long ago. But hey I am not complaining actually I like it.You have no idea what the heck i am rambling about do you????<ggg>

Read this you will get the idea.
