<If I am so wrong about Wall Street being able to provide long term accurate predictions about the computer industry, let me ask people like cory: Why was Wall Street caught completely by surprise when Intel's stock was hammered last Feb when they posted a pre-earnings announcement warning? Based on Cory's logic, Wall Street should not have been surprised at all by Intel's lack of chip demand.>

Wall street doesn't make long term predictiosn. They just sell them to you. Wall street does have a very long term mentality and they were not caught off guard by the INTC announcement.
