RWS, Sorry didn't mean to overwhelm you with numbers. <g> Just thought since you did E Wave, you would LOVE LOTS of numbers. :-)

Hey, I have no idea about where a bottoms is but I just hope I can recognize it when I see it. I honestly think I have the tools now to make that happen. The numbers that I post I'm sure seem somewhat disconnected but when I look at all the various scans a picture forms that can't be verbally described. In the past I just looked at charts and indicators but sometimes got in too much of a hurry. Running and posting all these scans to my spreadsheets forced me to STUDY the numbers rather than just look at them and patterns start to form.

There are some companies making money that sell for book value or less

As far as I am concerned, funnymentals didn't get us here and I don't think they will have anything to do with how low we go.

I think this BK will be the kind that you recognize 5 years after its over.

I agree. And from the numbers I am seeing the 5 year clock started running about Mid April. I read somewhere that the big money went into the liquid stocks (Jims Top 50 & Magic 10) in preparation for a sell off. Everything seems to indicate that that has been what is going on.

Jim and a couple of others have been discussing the trend up in interest rates. My understanding is that you NEVER fight the interest rate trend.

But I am still a novice at this compared to most of the guys & gals that post here so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Good Luck

Monty

RWS, forgot to answer one of your questions.

But is the trend linear?

Now there you go, trying to confuse me. My computer doesn't understand linear, but it does understand trend and the trend is not good. :-)
