Jeff, a few responses...

<<My understanding is that they came to Imagine's office with their own computer and board...so who knows how it was configured. >>

My point was this it was about the same speed as a Voodoo2 but we are unlikely to see any more performance improvement. This is especially true if they were using their own system.

<<regarding the STBI thing- please remember that this is all speculation and would be way in the future.>>

Hell, I'm just excited that they even thought about it. With cardmakers grossing $75 per chipset and 3dfx only grossing about $25 you can see why I'm ready to jump on that bandwagon. Since 3dfx makes the pitch to the OEM's anyway it might make sense to sign up Quantum3d for the OEM deals, but go through their current vendors for the retail channels. Any opinion on 3dfx being able to have their cake and eat it too?

<< If STBI were to remain as is, but wholly or the majority owned by TDFX, then it may not be noticable to other 3d party chipmakers. >>

Chipset manufacturers have to sell to the cardmakers. To do this they show the cardmakers very early designs way before anyone else sees them. This seems like a pretty heavy competitive advantage for an industry that's moving into 6 months cycles.

Hey, looks like Creative just sent out another press release! Damn, nothing about Banshee just something about the CEO's fecal matter.

Thanks again for the good work.

Pat

Some questions about insiders

Does anyone know what percentage of TDFX is owned by company insiders?

Have there been recent buys or sells by any insiders?
(The insiders better be buying than selling if they want investors to feel confident)

Who are some of the institutional holders out there?

Have any mutual funds bought or sold TDFX recently?
(The only way I think TDFX has a chance for solid appreciation is for mutual funds, especially those in small caps, to make it a core holding.)

Is the company doing enough PR?
(TDFX is currently followed by only 4 analysts, I believe. That's not enough exposure. I feel whoever is doing the company's PR or investor relations is doing a lousy job, and should be replaced. They need to pick up more analysts. They need to do more road shows to impress big wigs.)

Any response to my questions and/or comments would be greatly appreciated.
