"...As far I see Apple's stock price is sure to fall.....Apple's share price will trade below $20 fairly soon."

(?)- I suggest shorting on heavy margin.

I don't see how your financial future will not be assured by mortgaging your house and shorting AAPL on margin. The results are guaranteed, in my opinion.

Go on, you can afford to short more!

<<iMac is OVER PRICED. You can get a comparable Compaq for under a $1000....most people looking for computers care about performance not looks. >>

Well, there's nothing comparable in the Compaq line to the iMac for under $1000.

If people really cared about performance, they all be using Macs!

With USB as the growing standard, almost all PCs will be incompatible with the new printers coming on the horizon.

My philosophy when looking at the company's balance sheet at $17 per share was "There no place for this stock to go but up!"

So far it's doing quite nicely.

Identity crisis =(?) ?

You are partly correct in that a floppy costs under $30 and would make a valuable link to the past as well as allowing files to be saved to disc. Many files now are too big for floppies and you need far bigger removeable storage devices, such as graphics files etc. They can be attached and in the graphics area will be.
I do not know how it fare against the big apples for serious graphics.
It might do OK if you can add memory to a reasonable level.

There seems to be tremendous demand for the machine and it looks like it will sell well. It emains to be seen how it will evolve and get better year after year. An unchanging volkswagon it must not stay.

I think it is a starter model to get people on to an apple useage pattern. Once there and they have learned to use and like they will walk up the product line as they graduate and start to earn a lot more money.

Printers?, there is a move to the USB for all peripheral devices and the WIntels and Apples will drive these as they will share a common standard. In 2-3 years try to find a printer that has a centronics connector? They will all be USB.

If there is a general meltdown, then Apple will also fall. But the pentup sales this month could make the stock hit $40+ within a month. Remember they will be shipping and selling fast and furious and the stores will report this and the stock will appreciate from it.

Whether it will stay up? who knows. They are not out of the woods, but the tress are thinning.
