does anyone else watch the "market" internals. they are in bad shape and getting worse. not only that, but i am seeing many head and shoulder tops forming what looks like right shoulders and now resting just at or slightly below the necklines.

also, if anyone is long internet stocks, i would be getting out as it appears the craze is over. also my opinion is that if you can weather the volatility, a put or short position in amzn or cmgi will be quite profitable.

one bad thing about being short. when everyone at work talks about the market being down and i am smiling, they all get mad when they find out why and call what i do "unamerican". you tell me; is it unamerican to make a profit and do it legally? i think not.

i think the market has a long way down to go and if you have read any books, the dow will hold better and even make new highs while the general market is colloapsing, which is pretty much what happenned this summer.

in fact the only long i have left is a gold mining stock, which once again may prosper during the downtrends. at least historically. i cashed in all of my other longs, and will add to my short positions. but then again, if the market internals change, i will admit readily to being wrong and reverse.

here's hoping we all make gobs in this downtrending market and that it continues down and even crashes. good luck
