Last trade Friday was a late report of 60,100 shares at the ask.

Cannot find management biographies on the investor page anymore and I am still confused about the Frank Greico issue. Is Frank CFO or was the conference call his last day?

King Lee strategy is clear. Cut costs to the bone (drawn and quarterdecked staffing) and eek out a profit within 2 quarters. Worry about the future in the next millennium..."managing month to month."

The challenge is doing this with products that have not met with great market acceptance except for CleanSweep and a ProComm line in decline.

The corporate strategy of Hessler is key to survival as this is much more stable than the retail market where those two guys in the garage are always putting out shareware that is darn good and new companies like Mijenix sprout up using smart ex-Quarterdeck talent like Alex Eck. Unfortunately, it is a tough market to crack.

The early acceptance of CleanSweep corporate is a good sign and may lead network administrators to try DiskClone Corporate and the new networked versions of ProComm and others that Hessler promised and KING LEE won't talk about. However, the strategy is risky as Network Associates and Symantec are better funded and have a head start and better market penetration. Remember Ghost is now owned by the competition.

The retail market is in shambles. If the blame is truly on the Windows98 release and the shoppers are back and buying then there is hope. BUT, net revenues dropped from 20 to 15 to 10 allowing for consistent return reserves across the last three quarters. Surely DiskClone and CleanSweep are selling but we need help. Visibility is higher and online sales might help but until we see some PCData retail top ten products we are still in trouble.

The only bright spot I see is the quarterly nut dropping below 16M. If Greico, or whoever the CFO is, can get it down to < 15 1/2M per quarter then there is a realistic chance of profitability in 1Q fiscal 99.

The best indicator of profitability will be the price rallying to $1 which avoids a deadly delisting or reverse stock split to support the price. I'd guess Nasdaq will allow QDEK another quarter to get above $1 on the strength of QDEK's history, 15M cash reserves, trading volume, and market makers.

Agree with Species9 and Snackman that we are still a big gamble but I may play the King Lee turn around short term for another 10,000 shares next week as part of an overall EXIT strategy.

Just pray we don't get blindsided by surprises..................except for a buyout at >$2
