Not to flog a dead horse, but yes, the American coverage on Asian mobile marketplace is seriously skewed. All those articles on how CDMA is challenging GSM in Asia neglect to mention that 95% figure. It's pretty easy to grow at 100% pace if you're increasing your market share from 2% to 5%.

That Businessweek article was very nice - the issue has sold out here in Helsinki in a couple of hours. Too bad they chose the 1997 figures to compare Nokia with Ericsson and Motorola - that was Nokia's low point. They did a nice demolition job on Motorola, though.

Penny, you're a star - and so is Bogey. The Finnish "Taloussanomat" quoted your posts this week in an article on internet discussions on Nokia. The hack who wrote the piece studiously avoided mentioning my posts. But I'm not bitter or disgruntled. Honestly, I'm not.
