Thanks also for the data for my spreadsheets! I cannot complain because I have no possibility of obtaining the data directly myself but I notice that the numbers for the week ending 7/10/98 do not quite add up, and also the final two weeks there are lots of zeros in the last few integer places. Could these be estimates from your sources.

I notice recently that script data appears more difficult to come by, are IMS tightening up on their security.

- For the week, Big Pharma (-1.8%) followed the S&P down (-1.8%).

-GLX (+2.2%), JNJ (+0.9%), and LLY (+0.4%) were the only winners.

-PFE (-3.2%) continued its current bout of profit-taking on low-volume and no news.

-WLA (-5.6%) was the cellar-dweller on renewed concerns for Rezulin and liver complications.

-In July, Big Pharma was up 1.3% as compared to declines for the Dow (-0.8%), S&P (-1.2%) and the NASTie (-1.2%) .

-For the month, AMGEN (+12.3%), WLA (+8.6%), and SGP (5.6%) were the big winners. MRK (-7.6%), SBH (-5.0%), and BMY (-0.9%) were the only losers. PFE managed to increase 1.0% in roller coaster action.

-Through 7 months, Big Pharma (+28.5%) is far ahead of the Dow (+12.3%), S&P (+19.6%) and the NAStie (+19.2%).

-In the YTD race, the "Big 3" held their positions with #1 WLA (+82.1%) followed by SGP (+55.7%) and PFE (+47.3%). LLY (-3.4%) is the only Big Pharma in the red.
