The spreads have been wider on DELL, MSFT and even INTC. I have seen 5/16th several times on these.

Sounds like a good opportunity to 'play market maker'. Buying at the bid and selling at the ask. You'll need an account with a broker offering ECN access, but you may be able to take advantage of the larger spreads this way.

"Buy buy market orders" ==> "Hello ECN limit orders (and partial fills)!"
