Jim, Re:Call these guys and you can get a Super 7 Biostar mobo

Have you ? I am quite happy with my soon to be
outdated PII 300/440LX.

>when some folks spend a lot of money on a computer
>(most people consider a computer an expensive item)
>they like to think they can upgrade it.
That is why I said, a myth. I have a lot of
P75/90/100/133 sitting around which I want to plug
a K6/Cyrix in. Unfortunately, the bus speed is not
correct(some of them is 50Mhz, 60Mhz), the clock
multiplier is not correct(most top out at 2x or 3x),
the voltage is not correct(many are 3.3v).

If people really want to think about CPU upgrade, they
should consider WHEN to expect that to happen ? If they
expect anything less than 12 Month, it may be better to
just get a faster CPU now(one faster is still cheaper
than one cheaper + one upgrade). If it is beyond that,
the chances of just plug another CPU is extremely small.

Take K6-2 as an example, will there still be K6-2 by
year 2000? I thought Jerry promised us the K7 that will
be so great but if I remembered, it does not use Socket.
