i agree that taking all the charges is good. I am
just not sure what would cause accrued restructuring
charges (basically expenses MRVC owes, but havent paid)
that amount to 23 million. In other words, say you
eliminate a product line. What kind of restructuring
charges are associated with that? (as for inventory write-offs
of obsolete products, is that included in restructuring
charges, and not under inventory still?) I suppose job cuts
and layoffs is obviously an accrued expense, retraining of
employees, legal and consulting fees, closing of warehouses
and production facilities. But do you think 23 million
is a little bit excessive for a company Xyplex's size?
