Unfortunately for Gary the wash rule doesn't change your tax position it only delays the loss until the next sell. So if you buy again w/i the 30 days it means nothing if you sell 30 days later...it only really comes into play the 30 days before the end of the tax year. I believe Gary G got bad advise.

Personally I'd like to see the AFCI rumor be reborn and become fact since I'm a large share holder.<g>
