Each OS is good in certain areas. BeOS could be a great multimedia platform. Linux could be a great cheap server platform. MacOS is a great single-user OS. Windows is a great OS for your secretary. I definitely wouldn't use MacOS as a server, nor use Linux as an OS for a simple computer user. At last, a sign of intelligent life out there! Most people approach OS evaluation from a perspective of religious advocacy, failing to admit to the most glaring faults of their favourite OS and to the worst deficiencies of their favourite OS. IMHO, until Linux gets a decent GUI, it's an also ran.
