Interesting read. I guess a Virtual Casino would make alot of sense. Would still bring in the big revenues without the associated crime and prostitution. I especially like this idea:

According to Mr. Julius Timothy, Minister of Finance, Industry and Planning for the Commonwealth of Dominica, the monies generated from
Island Sports Book and Casino will be used to improve hospitals and medical programs, youth sports programs, airport expansion, and other
community projects on the Island of Dominica.

Bodie,

I saw that article several weeks ago. However, that article refers to physical casinos on the island itself and their impact on the local economy and culture.

Virtual internet casinos are in fact legally allowed to be domiciled in The Commonwealth of Dominica, The Domini Corporation, which can be found at domini-inc.com, is an "Appointed Agent" of the Government of the Commonwealth to assist in setting up such virtual casinos, and the Commonwealth budget includes income from their licensing fees.
