RWS; One of my favorite things is insider buying, but if the
market goes sour, you would be surprised at how wrong
insiders can be on their own stock.

RWS, what do you know about this short interest on ACRT. My info is dated (6/8/98) so need to check it. Could this run up on 6/10 be shorts covering?

Float: 5.60

Shares Outstanding: 8.3
Float as percent of shares out: 67.68
Short Interest As Of 06/08/98: 2.06 mil

Short Interest as a percent of the float: 36.75%

Institutional percentage held: 7.45%

But I have to say the funnymentals look good.

Many an insider has been left w/ worthless shares after a mania ends. I expect this one to end no differently.

RWS,

Re your post:" Like Bonnie I see some overlooked bargains down stream value wise & P/E wise, but no one is buying them, so what good is a value if it don't go up, but just gets cheaper."

My suspicion is that many small/micro-caps, apart from occasional brief rallies, will be shunned until sometime after 1/1/00. This assertion is largely dependent upon the manner in which on-going Y2k repairs/contingencies are unfolding.

I think the large corporations & money managers are already looking ahead and removing their exposure. If small companies cannot demonstrate Y2k compliance, or detailed, realistic plans for compliance to their larger, much better capitalized brethren in a timely fashion, they will be discarded as suppliers and locked out of communication networks.

However, if/when the smoke clears sufficiently post-2000, there will be a historical, stunning rally in small caps at that time.
