Anything is possible but I think it is unlikely that AMD will participate in the Alpha market. Samsung and Intel are already licensed, although Intel is less than enthused. There has never been a shortage of Alpha silicon, but customers have been hard to come by.
It doesn't seem like it would be in AMD's best interests, but when did Jerry ever let that stop him?
