I don't know about AIQ. I thought you could only use Dial data. QP2 is a metastock/ascii format now. You use metastock for GET in normal or virtual. Our dear "friend" Bret said no plans to read QP direct, I think they need to spend the time bringing WINGET to speed. just virtual install all symbols.

change cursor color to white.

yes you can create list by hand. then process it.

Get reads them well but is slow on full database searches. I doubt they will fix it. I don't see problem in DOSGET.

Does AIQ read metastock? then should read virtual. Ask Bruce Bowman about throwing off indicators if you use other than Dial Data.

With regard to your second question, I've been doing this using Drag and Drop.

What I do is have Lists I want in the main program. If I want to take one of the lists into Virtual mode, I have the following setup:
* I use a directory META1 (it is my 4th profile) for this purpose (I have profiles METAIRL and METASNP etc. for the quessable uses)
* In Profile, I click the OPEN box and select my Profile 4 (META1)
* I click the User Input (the icon that looks like a piece of paper between the SIC and S&P buttons)
* I drag any list I want from the right side panel to the left (being careful about lists and list entries as targets - you can append things or merely create new lists in the Profile, if you are not careful).
* The system does the rest (ain't the gang at QP clever)
* I now have any lists I want (and I don't want them all) in Virtual
Since I've really got "everything" in the METAIRL directory what this really does is make it easier to find favorite stocks in logical groups. If I really want to see something new quickly, I can always use IRL/S&P/SIC METAs.
