I have read today's article re SAP in IBD and have studied it to learn as much as I can possible understand. Well, really it was not that complicated. COO and CFO, Kevin McKay, SAP America Inc., states clearly that one of the reasons for the NYSE listing is that he believes that SAP will do very well using generally accepted (in the US) US GAAP accounting principles. He states that it will be helpful towards gaining US market share to have a balance sheet and annual report that is "US-style".
The short of it is that his answers were direct and fearless. SAP wants to report US GAAP-style as it will help them answer questions to big companies to whom they want to sell stuff.
I do feel very clueless about what all will happen Monday. Should be interesting.
Later.
Susanne.

Hey, Ratan lal, I guess Mixtliman is that all the smart Europeans immigrated to the US, and only the dumb ones are left over there.
