I confirm that the information contained in the Independent story of July 29, 1998 is correct. The origin of the story is THE BUSINESS WIRE OF JULY 7,1998. The Minister of Finance was interviewed at his office at Govt. Headquarters on Friday July 24,1998. Since we publish a weekly paper and go to press on Mondays it is obvious that our source could not have been the July 30 1998 release that you refereed to. Please keep me informed of new developments along that line.
