Here's the latest horror from Web Street. I logged on today, which I haven't for quite a while and I found my quotes were turned on again (I'd cancelled them) and that several charges had been made against my account. One was $30 for the quotes I had cancelled. Two were $16 and $35 respectively for "research." Well, the research was for the $100 they owed me, duplicate statements I requested which they never sent, and they never said there was a charge for them either. I tried to talk to the person who could handle the quotes problem but he wasn't in today, and I had to leave voice mail. I tried to talk to Sherry Smith about the "research" charges and had to leave voice mail. You'll recall the last time I called her line was the time that fellow called me back and hung up on me. That was the "research" for which he charged me $35. He had gone to ask Ryan about the $100 credit, Ryan had said he'd never promised it, and then this jerk hung up on me when I tried to ask him about the statements, saying "You'll never get the $100." Well, now they've charged me another $100 in erroneous fees and this is going to escalate pretty soon into an SEC complaint and legal machinations. Naturally, the voice mail messages I left were courteous. Neither call was returned yet. I'll keep you all informed. Parenthetically, the online service was redesigned and appeared improved. The erroneous balance section was removed from the Trading Pit. Now there is just one erroneous balance section. My buying power from marginable securities doesn't appear, but the rest of the info appears accurate. That was how I knew they stole another $100 from my account! Linda
