FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MC2 and NASA Quest Project Launch Educational Initiative

Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA - August 31, 1998
MC2 Learning Systems announces its collaboration with NASA Ames Research Center (Moffett Field, CA) for a K-12 educational project. Both organizations will support the Kent School District in hosting and sharing dynamic online projects using ZebuT educational groupware.

Teachers know that NASA provides access to some of the best science-based programs and resources to educators through the World Wide Web. This fall, schools throughout North America will be able to do more than just access these resources and participate in projects that link students to the people of NASA through email and online chats. Students and teachers will be able to use ZebuT, MC2's fully interactive web-based groupware tool, to participate in online projects that support the sharing and co-creation of ideas and resources between students from any location.

Kent School District (the fourth largest district in the state of Washington) is developing the projects to co-ordinate with existing NASA resources and events-available through the NASA Quest Project-and has chosen ZebuT as the vehicle to create and host the projects for approximately 1500 students across the continent.

"We are pleased to support a project such as this one," said Marc Siegel, Manager of NASA's Quest team. "Our mission here at Quest is to connect classrooms to NASA's enthusiastic people and therefore bring to life NASA's exciting missions and science. The projects being hosted by Kent School District using Zebu will add value by helping students share ideas and information with their peers in any location."

The Quest Project is a service of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and is funded by NASA's Learning Technologies Project. The goal of Quest is to provide support and services for schools, teachers and students to fully utilize the Internet, and its underlying information technologies, as a basic tool for learning. The NASA Quest Project can be found online at quest.arc.nasa.gov

News Release: Leading Technology School District Implements
- Zebu Educational Groupware throughout Entire District

"Zebu is allowing our students to experience this type of shared learning with other students anywhere in the world," said Perry Brown, Director of Technology for Anderson County Schools.

September 16, 1998-Clinton, TN
MC2 Learning Systems (ASE: MCZ.A) is pleased to announce the decision by Anderson County located in Clinton-Tennessee, to implement Zebu educational groupware throughout the entire district which represents 7,000 students.

Anderson County Schools' mission is to provide students with the opportunity to become productive, fulfilled, inquisitive citizens, who are an asset not only to themselves, but also to their communities, states, and nation. Anderson County aims to enhance students' lives by motivating them to learn and grow through whatever resources technology can provide. Anderson County staff view MC2's Zebu educational groupware as a perfect fit to support this mission.

Anderson County is highly regarded as one of the most technologically aggressive districts in the state of Tennessee, and has licensed Zebu for use throughout the district. The Office of Technology has also requested a customized on-site training package to be delivered to the district's classroom teachers during September 1998.

"Because our lives don't happen in isolation, collaborative learning gives students a more realistic training ground for life. MC2's Zebu is allowing our students to experience this type of shared learning with other students anywhere in the world. The software's ease of use allows everyone to concentrate on the subject matter and not the technology. Zebu opens a huge world of opportunities with its seamless functionality and simplicity," said Perry Brown, Director of Technology for Anderson County Schools.
