Steve,

What Green says is rationally true. Small, fast-growing
firms tend to have negative cash flow as they ramp up
sales.

I didn't use that to make arguments with Mr. Pink, because
I personally have a stronger conviction using "the
margin of safety" argument. To me, that is less prone
to optimism: You are assuming all the negatives, and can
still come up with a decent valuation for the stock price.
It's kinda like you don't have to know Wall Street nor
be an insider to use the "margin of safety" concept. But this argument may not makes sense to everyone, so it really depends.

Granted, though, that "high-tech" business, by their very
volatile nature, shouldn't be treated same as an ordinary
business.

Pink's goal is to create FUD, to scare people into selling their stock. Green's statements are only meaningful if he sticks around. He's got no commitment to stay, and his data is not meaningful at this time without corroboration, as we both agree.

Saul, you've been around. In this medium anyone can do anything, be anything at anytime. You can be 5 people on Yahoo boards at the same time. Many people post under multiple personalities. I don't know if people chronically do that here, but it's certainly possible.

Let's see how and if his participation continues....and the veracity of his proposed statements.

Regards,

Steve
