We've gone from 40% to 13% in foreign sales!!! Maybe we're planning on Rugrats being a big hit overseas. Do they even know what a Rugrat is overseas? (:-)

That stated objective that I referred to was in italics on the home page. I'll bet we are buying a foreign distributor, and the analysts should like it too.

Foreign distributor,

Jeff, here's another interesting story. Notice the paragraph about the good balance sheet (got it), good games (got some), and good foreign distribution (what?) that makes ERTS #1.

<< Three Months Ended March 31, ------------------------- 1998 1997 87.1% 59.7% Domestic Sales 12.9% 40.3% Foreign Sales ahem ... we've lost a lot of ground in Europe and other foreign sales.>>

Be careful on how you interpret these numbers. Its not so much that foreign sales tanked in the first quarter, its that domestic numbers were so great because of Nitro's tremendous success.

Q1 97 revenues were 11,839, so intl was $4.7 million or so.

Q1 98 revenues were 48,453, so intl was $6.3 million or so.

So actually, intl revenues were up 34% quarter over quarter.

Don't forget that market share doesn't take into account actual $$ sold. Did the foreign $$ actually go up in 1998? And if so, did the $$ sales in the US go up more?

PS ...never fails, I go on vacation and the stock tanks on news right after earnings...guess I'm glad I'm long! <g>
