>> Can we do it with one large C drive and organize with directories or do we need to organize on separate drives/partitions? I know this is old territory...not asking for answers. I am still pondering this for my own design.<<

One thought on this subject is with a 32 bit fat you are better off with one large C drive. Where as with a 16 bit fat you are better off with multiple partitions. Reason, with a 16 bit fat you are better off with a small cluster size so small files won't waste a lot of space. However, with a lot of partitions there will be unused space in each partition. I know there has to be catch some place but it appears a 32 bit fat gives you the best of both worlds small cluster size and no wasted space at the end of each partition.

ZP or Anyone: Can you recommend a single source via the internet for buying a custom system at the best price? I'm looking to get an ATX case, BX mobo, Pent II 300, and the best (Corsair?) PC100 SDRAM. It would be advantageous to get everything, as much as possible but especially the case and mobo assembled, from one source. Any other suggestions appreciated
