>> Can you point me to your point and figure charting resources. <<

I no longer use P&F charts although I did years ago. I found that in a volatile market P&F could not give accurate projections. Therefore it was useful only for congestions.

I am currently using QuotesPlus rel 2.0 for my pricing service and MetaStock for my charting tool. IMO MetaStock is the best. It can handle any range and zooms easily.

In place of P&F I use a lot of candlestick and also equivolume.
The candles are great on movement extremes and the volume boxes are useful for support / resistance.

I also use PowerInvestor for the sake of the 10 year graph (also a good zoomer). However, PI is usually tardy in posting their fundamental data.

For fundamental's, timely, accurate and with a great search engine (including graphics) I use AAII StockInvestorPro. Not too expensive but a real leveler as far as screens are concerned. The CD's are mailed monthly and include IBES earnings estimates.

I also experiment with WinMidas and with ElWave. These are interesting in that they seem to anticipate what one sees with with traditional averages oscillators etc. However, you have to know how to use these tools. They can get you into a lot of trouble.

I supplement the "how to use" feedback with plain old research. The Annual, 10K's 10Q's and a little digging about on the net or in other sources. It has to make horse sense. Maybe this is the best tool which I am using.

Hal: you have got to try AAII SI Pro. If they won't give you a demo copy, let me know.
