European currencies and stock prices have been moving in opposite directions for years. Currency depreciation is seen by investors as an economic stimulus. I think we will a similar trend in Japan once investors are convinced they are dealing effectively with their banking crisis. No reason why the year 2000 could not see yen 180 and Nikkei 25,000+
