But they are closely related to the POG. Especially the MARK. Has remained within 10% volatility of the POG. Go here:

And do a min of 2 year plot, of MARK versus Gold Oz. The sept 97-dec 97 shows a massive Outflow of capital from Germany. And now it's correcting back to a norm as you say. All the more reason for a world wide Gold standard. But as the inflow into the USA continues, the POG will decrease, and with it those currency that are related to POG.

Than Compare the CDN dollar with it's limited remaining GOLD....
PS: There is a reason why Canada sold it's gold, any guesses?
