I think there is a fine line in here - marketing I guess can generate huge profit - It might be interesting if IBM implements these technologies when manufacturing the AMD chips. AMD will tie up the portable market (power saving) and will have compelling (speed) desktop and server CPU alternatives to Intel (at least until Merced arrives).

As a potential Intel (short term) investor these are things that concern me. I look at Intel as a broad industry news driven stock and like the short term movements - but I am not convinced that the news going forward will not be negative.
