Bill & Gang: I talked to my friend at Smith Barney today as promised. Basically, this is what he said. A. We're doing everything right by sharing information and getting the word out via internet. B. We have a home run. On the subject of Smith Barney's involvement he said it's up to the individual agent. In general however, don't expect too much yet from the big firms holistically, at this stage in FNTN's development. The reasons are three-fold. 1. Smith Barney, as an institution (and the like) are unlikely to involve themselves in any stock under 500 million cap. 2. What we already know. Big firms are still uneasy when it comes to recommending small caps. 3. If they did recommend a small cap on a company-sized basis, they could inadvertently end up owning that company because of the brokerage's shear size and quantity of brokers vs. quantity of available shares and market value of same. They will not even issue a watch rating for all of the above reasons. I must stress this point. NONE of this information was issued in a negative light. In fact, my SB friend mentioned the fact that this is exactly where all successful companies have begun their journey to respectability, including Microsoft. Also, I must stress the fact that a booming stock in this sector can alter predictabilities, so don't assume that every large firm will take an early pass. Most importantly, as my knowledgeable friend said, in 1998, we have the added advantage of internet threads to help get the word out. His opinion is that we should do EXACTLY what we are doing - sharing information AND our guts, and if we pass the word, we WILL be rewarded for our efforts. Wally
