Someone on the Boink thread mentioned that
Tony Snow has broached the subject of Slick,
or the DNC, being required to reimburse the
taxpayers for all the expenses accruing
due to the stonewalling all these many months.

Kinda' like the Democrats required Newt to
pay the expenses for his hearings.

I think that would be fair, don't you? Then
they'd be less people crying about all the money
Starr is spending on these proceedings.

Bill, the question is.Would you have admitted under oath to the Monica affair, with out the benefit of hind site, and given the political realities of today?I for one would have been inclined to tell them it was non of their dam business. But of course I understand how in political situations one cannot always say what one would like.It is easy to be a monday morning quarterback. If your answer is yes at least admit that you can understand the pressure he was under and had you been in his position you at least have had to give it some serious thought.Or don't.
One might argue that by choosing to have sex with Monica he undertook the obligation to tell the truth if asked.I don't agree .There are some things that we have the right to keep to our selves. Our sex life is one, even if we are President. But he was not given the option to decline to answer so he chose to lie.As I have said before, quite understandable.
