AlienTech, Thanks for the article.

John Rossi of BancAmerica Robertson Stephens said he
thinks Creative's stock price has hit its bottom for now, and a
new line of sound cards to be shipped this fall will spur a
recovery. "But whether or not they can make it stick depends
on how well they diversify their products..They can't just be a
sound card company anymore," he said.

CREAF's early growth came from the fact that everyone had to acquire their initial sound card and SB was the king. How many consumers are concerned about having the ultimate quality of sound. (Personally, I'm happy with simple stereo while I work.)

CREAF now has excellent sound, speakers, and video. All have competition. Anyone care to speculate on where CREAF can go for broad-based growth with expanding margins?

An abstract from AT's post:

Since 65-70 percent of PCs are currently
shipped with rival brand sound cards, there's
room for Creative to grow in the OEM market.
And its P/E ratio of 6 makes it look like a real
bargain in today's overpriced high-tech sector.
