Those social statistics are often flawed. They used to go around saying that half of all marriages ended in divorce. The actual fact was that many of the divorces were by repeat divorcers --- these people had gotten into marriages without much commitment to start with and tended to be the same people.

The same probably can be said of this so-called 1/2-committing adultery. Repeat offenders skew the statistics.

The persons who keep arguing the Clinton side always ignore the facts of the case, and try to reduce to just sex and lies:

1) sex between executive and an intern (which is even less than a regular employee)

2) sex using government/business facilities (as opposed to private/personal area of White House)

3) attempt to recover and withhold evidence as in Obstruction of justice

4) attempt to get other witnesses to commit purjury (as in Witness tampering)

It's disingenuous to attempt to argue the President's case while ignoring these circumstances.

Here I am trying to earn an honest buck by trying as best as I can to learn about the trends taking place in one of my favorite sectors, telecommunications when I stumble across a post of a rather intelligent person by the name off B.V. on the Sprint Thread. Couldn't possibly be the same Bill I've come to know on the Boink Thread??

Well....dang blast it, it is! ( Bill, stick with Sprint--somehow you lose your ability to discern reality when you come to Boink and I see here as well )

Not only that, you guys have spread you wings, I see,not to mention the usual tired innuendos, allegations and all around blather.

President Clinton, an anamoly, you said? I agree; never has a public official been so victimized in the history of this republic.

Another anamoly:Apparently now,the presumption of innocence.

What's happening now will come to haunt this nation for years to come not to mention weaken it in this upcoming era of lightening globilization and nuclear/bio/chem weapon proliferation. The one branch of government that has always been able to take the lead and effect rapid action in the global arena has now become weakened for years to come, and in a way too profound for us to understand now in the thick of this circus of tragedy.

I tell you folks that the Law of Unintended Consequences will wreak its revenge whether this President stands or falls. And on more than just one level....whether the Dress -- Pepperdine Dough Boy's newest Holy Grail ---is a boom or bust.
