Hi James,

I'm not very familiar with LEAPS and such.. However, I think Intel is very strong in reference to the general market. I think if the mkt was uptrending, Intel would be near 90's +.

I, myself, have Intel at 94ish. So I've held underwater too. I didn't cut my losses and have $$$ held up for 1 yr +.

But i think you can initiate puts if intc breaks down below 84 1/2 to 85 support.. wait for my confirmation and a CLOSE around there.

hope it helps.

jim, this is a complicated process.

assuming it's in your ira right?

take the profit on in next two weeks. it does not matter weather u have profit or loss. u need to calculate what your leaps will be worth by expirations. U start loosing time value at a high rate within last 6 months and especially within last 3 months.

i m worried about ur 99 leaps not y2k. i would sell 99 in strength by y2k1. take ur loss.

intel target as quoted by Gruntal is 105 (12 mo. target).
who know what it will be, depending on Merced schedule.
delay in merced u r dead. Merced comes out ahead of schedule u r in business.
