chris, csco FPE is 43.9. but spring 97 HPE was 25. and no body wanted to buy it. FPE is forward pe and HPE is historical pe. I just made up this abbriviations.

when csco was at 25 pe compare to 100 pe currently, Chambers promised a growth rate of 30-35%. And that csco would be a leader in it's class.
I saw him on every channel NBR, Mony line and cnbc repating approx the same thing. It was a brilliant easy gift horse. When the CEO sez buy you idiots. No boday wanted to buy.

At $30 nobody wanted to buy at $95 people dying to buy. To me, that is momentum !! We were not in a bear market we were in middle of a bull market where mony was pouring in ... where was the mony going then?

i think the *market* will make new highs in couple of months but hard to say where individual stocks might be?

Do you think momentum will continue? or will it back to basics instead of sexy names you can talk about at a party ?
just thinking out loud?
