cAPS, my friend --

You still here?

The answer to your questions.

"At the same board meeting, the board approved a reverse split to reduce the number of
authorized shares, currently 200 million, and the number of outstanding shares, BOTH by a
factor of 100."

To Bob S.: The price of a stock is related to its earnings. With good earnings per share, and depending on how the company develops (as a resource company or as a technology company) the PE can be 10 times to 30 times earnings. Good things can still happen after a reverse split, and there can be forward splits in the future if the earnings support them.

As the earnings come in there may be several forward 2 for 1 splits, in which case your "breakeven" would be half or a quarter of $33 -- and the number of shares outstanding would still be reasonable.
