We can put up with some wet weather even though it's a pain in the butt as it is fairly short lived [except for the Mississippi flooding in '92]. A drought seems to last forever. It was several years before all of the trees recovered. We had drought resistant plants, they are called weeds. Our whole yard became bindweed. It made me sick to go to town because I had to drive past several fields of stunted, shriveled corn. Ugly sight.
