Do your duty and leave the rest to the Lord. I think it is a little different. It says - all you can do is your karma. The results are not in your hand. I hope this is obvious to everyone. Many a times the results are nowhere close to what was desired when the karma was done. Of course sometimes the rsults are exactly as desired and sometimes osmewhere in between. Your karma is not the only action causing the future results but one of many.
