If I'm not mistaken, it was one Otto v Hindenburg in January, 1933, explaining why it made so little difference if he allowed "that little Austrian corporal" to try his hand at the impossible job of chancellor. Us fans of democracy tend to be a little less cynical-and maybe a little more angry when a total bastard slips into high office. Poor Otto never gave the system a chance to correct its mistakes.
